Welcome to the Medbury School website.

Over the many years I have worked in education, I have developed a passion for boys' education in particular, and can endorse that Medbury is a fine example of providing the best for its pupils.

Educating boys requires a balance.  Here at Medbury we acknowledge that our pupils shine in different areas, and we give opportunities to succeed, not only academically, but also culturally and through sport.  We teach that the cornerstone to becoming worthwhile members of society is to live with good values and standards, right from Year 1.

Medbury has a wonderful atmosphere and a caring culture, where teachers, support staff, parents, committees associated with the school, students and Old Boys, all make up what we call the 'Medbury Family'.  This is a strength of Medbury School.

Our Boarding House is an integral part of our school life, and home to forty-one boarders from different areas of New Zealand and overseas.  As the Headmaster lives 'on-site', my wife Helen and daughter Emma, are also very much involved, with the boarding house staff, in the life of the school.

Together with the Medbury School Trust Board, we continually work to our strategic plan, to ensure that all the boys receive a well-rounded education.
